Throwing a birthday party for your one year old is a tricky task. You know that they are not going to remember- or even understand what’s going on- but you also want to do something special. It always kills me when people go crazy overboard for their baby’s first birthday (who has that much time???), but I have found myself going down that road as well…I definitely fell down the black hole that is Pinterest. So, after spending way too much time that I really don’t have and finding tons of inspiration on said black hole ( I may or may not have put together a color scheme), we picked a camping theme -with a little Moonrise Kingdom mixed in there as well. I also think this guy had a lot to do with it.

An Eventful Month
Happy November. Bagh I cannot believe I just said that. It feels like I blinked and the season turned into fall. The end of October was insane for me (my baby had an upper respiratory infection, an ear infection, pink eyes not to mention teething) so I thought I’d go ahead and discuss all the exciting things I’m looking forward to this month!
Vanderpump Rules : First off, I cannot believe I haven’t discussed this yet ( and I’m sure all my friends already know this), but I am a reality TV a-holic. Well, mainly the Bachelor franchise and anything on Bravo. So what better way to introduce my sweet sweet love for trashy TV than with some words about Vanderpump Rules (which premieres TONIGHT)!!!! I can’t handle it! How much protein powder will Jax consume? And will he escape the Hawaiian jail? Does Kristen still have a vendetta against Tom Sandoval and Ariana (please say yes)? And WHAT will be the theme for the Sur employees’ annual photo shoot?
Girls’ Trip To Palm Springs : As I mentioned before, last week was pretty much hell. I have been dying for a weekend away for a long time and after my son was so sick, I’ve never needed one more than now. That may sound mean, but I need a break from the screaming and crying and drooling! I am headed to Palm Springs with some of the craziest, most fun girls I know and the weekend cannot come fast enough. Oh, and it’s Gay Pride weekend. Yaaaaasss. A few other posts about this trip are in the works.
Cooler Weather : Dallas’ weather is pretty unpredictable, but thankfully it’s usually pretty chilly in November. I am super excited to finally build a fire, make hot chocolate and pull out all my sweaters, boots and coats (I have quite an affinity for outerwear)!
Turkey Day : Last, but not least, Thanksgiving!!! And it’s Campbell’s first one which is why I’m most excited. I’m sure he will have no idea what is going on, but I can’t wait to celebrate with our little turkey. EE

Oh, Sienna!
This video is almost a year old and I’m not quite sure how I missed it. It could be because I was about to bring a bebe into the world or it could be because Vogue is now diluted with Kylie Jenner updates every 4 minutes, but either way, this video is greatness. Sienna Miller went from like number 10 on my girl crush list to tying for number 1 (Poppy Delevigne – her bff is also 1). She seems so down to earth – not in that “I’m Gwyneth Paltrow, and I swear I’m just one of you” way- but a normal person/mom who can make fun of herself and other celebrities. I love seeing little parts of her home. So British. And let’s not forget about the GIANT Damien Hirst in her living room. DROOLING.
Isn’t she the best!?
New York in 5
New York was a little different with an infant in tow {especially a teething one with a cold}, but we definitely had a memorable time! I was very apprehensive about getting around the streets with a baby, but I have to say, people in NYC love babies! Everyone was surprisingly nice and accommodating! I think it helped that Campbell is so cute and would smile at everyone as we walked around. Matt kindly watched our little stinky so I could escape on my own for some shopping! I stared at the Chloe department so long that I thought Bergdorf’s security was going to come escort me out. There was also a pastel purple Celine trio bag. On our last day, we went to the US Open and I seriously felt like we were at the Oscars! Bradley Cooper…Anna Wintour…Leonardo DiCaprio. Yowza!! Such a fun time.
