Do you ever have moments where you’d like to quit your job, escape all the stress and just move to a home in the country? It sounds so nice, right? Well, that is exactly what the owners of this Martha’s Vineyard former dairy farm did. Oil trader, Eric Glasgow and his wife had moved from NY to Texas to London before he decided to quit his job, move to the country, “raise livestock and make cheese” (hence the cattle outside of this room). And on top of all the cheese you could ever ask for, they called up their friend, interior designer, Kathleen Walsh to help design the home.
The home was built by architect, Mark Hutker who helped blend the structure in with the older buildings and landscape perfectly. I absolutely love the mix of modern and rustic in this home. The clean lines mixed with the wood beams and the modern lighting is like a dream and who could forget about that kitchen!!? Ugh let’s all just quit our jobs, pool our money together and live in a home like this.
