There is no better – or more stylish way – to bundle up this winter than with faux fur. To be honest, there was a time when I was not so interested in faux anything, but there are so many beautiful outerwear options now that I can’t help but embrace it.

Do you ever have moments where you’d like to quit your job, escape all the stress and just move to a home in the country? It sounds so nice, right? Well, that is exactly what the owners of this Martha’s Vineyard former dairy farm did. Oil trader, Eric Glasgow and his wife had moved from NY to Texas to London before he decided to quit his job, move to the country, “raise livestock and make cheese” (hence the cattle outside of this room). And on top of all the cheese you could ever ask for, they called up their friend, interior designer, Kathleen Walsh to help design the home.
Going to the mall to knock out all of your Christmas shopping at once is pretty nice, but the parking, fighting the crowds -and in my case- working around a baby’s schedule- can cause panic in even the most seasoned shopper. That is why I have started shopping small for my holiday gifts. There are a few go-to small shops in Dallas that I depend on for unique/ fun presents and luckily-for my/your convenience- I found some great ones online too. For being as small as they are, they are packed with some great gift options. You are sure to find gifts for everyone from the Type A friend, your boss, the hostess with the mostest, the new mom and so many more in these super cute shops. So, what are you waiting for friends, get to shopping!
Throwing a birthday party for your one year old is a tricky task. You know that they are not going to remember- or even understand what’s going on- but you also want to do something special. It always kills me when people go crazy overboard for their baby’s first birthday (who has that much time???), but I have found myself going down that road as well…I definitely fell down the black hole that is Pinterest. So, after spending way too much time that I really don’t have and finding tons of inspiration on said black hole ( I may or may not have put together a color scheme), we picked a camping theme -with a little Moonrise Kingdom mixed in there as well. I also think this guy had a lot to do with it.
